Micah is a Member of DRB, having originally joined the firm as an associate at its founding in 2014. His practice focuses on representing institutional investors in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including finance, joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions and leasing. He has broad experience across a wide range of asset types, including multifamily, office, hotel, retail, seniors housing, and mixed-use properties. He frequently advises clients on construction, development and operational matters affecting their projects, and handles contract negotiations involving a broad spectrum of commercial transactions beyond real estate.
Prior to joining the firm, Micah worked as an associate in the Washington D.C. office of Venable LLP for 8 years. There, he developed significant experience representing a government sponsored enterprise in connection with the origination and acquisition of complex loan portfolios secured by multifamily and senior housing. In that capacity, he worked extensively on issues pertaining to mortgage-backed securities, interest rate derivatives and loan workouts.
Micah serves as pro bono real estate counsel to a local non-profit organization in connection with land transfer and disposition matters.
Micah is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and Maryland.
